About us
Established in 1908, Mental Health Connecticut (MHC) has been leading the mental movement for more than 100 years with a focus on ensuring dignified services are accessible, recovery is recognized as achievable, and mental well-being is attainable for all Connecticut residents. MHC has witnessed improvements in Connecticut’s mental health service system since its establishment, however, there is still progress that needs to be made in order for the mental health of all Connecticut’s residents to be deemed important and supported.

We at MHC recognize that self-care looks different for everyone. However, one thing is universal; the more tools you have in your toolkit, the better prepared you will be to access those tools. In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month 2024, we are thrilled to collaborate with Yoga in Our City to prioritize self-care. Join us every Sunday throughout May for #SelfCareSunday! This week, we're looking at hobbies as self-care. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gMrnzUCP

One of the most visible ways to support Mental Health Awareness Month is by displaying a lawn sign in front of your residence or business. These signs are more than just symbols; they are statements of solidarity and commitment to prioritizing mental health in our communities. Thank you to the community partners, staff, committee members, board members and businesses in CT who requested a lawn sign to show their support!
